I think, and I could be wrong, that I was twelve hours out of Mackinaw City when I realized it was time to put away the Zeppelin and head back to our roots.
If this season’s gonna take a turn for the brutal I want a Michigan boy out in front.
Roll me away bitches. Crack ‘em if you got ‘em, push the bad thoughts away and let’s Live Blog this mo-faux.
Then, if you haven’t passed out? You might want to see what’s happening in San Jose. You know, just for fun. And? They’re re-naming the former So-Gay in Nashville. Suggestions?

That means Chicago is screwed because they signed him to such a long-term contract, they can’t dump him after this season and will the Cup next year.

Watching Buffalo/Washington. 12 year(ish) old kid belted out the national anthem and did a damn fine job of it. Washington color guy has all the verbal pace of a Speak n’ Spell.

I had a dream about penalty killing last night.
Atlanta took a 2-0 lead and then went on the power play, but Stuart blocked a shot and passed to Helm for a breakaway which he buried, then blocked a second shot and passed to Helm who passed to Miller this time (they were on a 2-on-1 shorthanded) to tie the game, and then Pavel scored just as the penalty expired to take a 3-2 lead within about a minute and a half.
(Guess who was in the penalty box. It’s obvious.)
The next time Atlanta took a penalty they gave up another shorthanded goal to Helm, and a group of fans near the Thrashers bench spent the rest of the game chanting “DECLINE! DECLINE! DECLINE!” whenever Atlanta took a penalty.

Doing my small part to shift the mojo…....Today,I did not renew my “12 Cups” vanity plate, just in case my arrogant front running after we won #11had somehow tipped the cosmic balance the least little bit in the wrong direction.
Still flying the “11Cups” with pride, and I live in NC, so it shouldn’t be too hard to nab my “12 Cups” back when the need arises.
If we tear off on a 6 game win streak, we will know it was my fault we lost game 7 last year.

What?!? I’m sure I’m not the only person to dream about an effective penalty kill with shorthanded goal-scoring potential!
And after the final horn a giant turkey fell out of the rafters with a “Happy Thanksgiving!” banner (think the closing scene from Jurassic Park with the T. rex and the banner falling dramatically) and started chasing Thrashers around on the ice. That’s what really solidified for me that it was indeed a dream.
