Update: It’s 1647 EST and two votes separate Boston, Aerosmith and the J. Geils Band. I can’t even describe to you the tension in my house right now. So, I"m leaving the poll open until 1845. It’s going right down to the wire.
Third game in four nights, on the road, 24 hours after a home game? Classic Gary. Ass move. Classic. Way to get the most of out of your Original Six opportunities LG.
But I’m not concerned with that now.
What I’m trying to figure out is just what ROCK LEGEND is going to sponsor tonite’s Live Blog. Oh, the dilemma. Choose wisely my friends. And I’m going to allow write-in votes. That’s how important today’s election is.

Big distinction Chief, pre-rehab Aerosmith or post-rehab Aerosmith ??

I’ve got to vote for my all-time favorite band…The Band (without Bob Dylan, thank you). And as for the song? These two might do.
You Dont Know The Shape I’m In
Go out yonder, peace in the valley
Come downtown, have to rumble in the alley
Oh, you dont know the shape I’m in
The Weight
I pulled into (Boston), was feelin’ about half past dead;
I just need to find some place where I can lay my head.
Hey, mister, can you tell me where a man might find a bed?
He just grinned and shook my hand, and “No!” was all he said.
Take a load off (Ozzie). Take a load for free.
Take a load off (Ozzie), and put the load right on me.
The first part of The Weight is a “tribute” to Lil’ Gary’s master(baiting) schedulers. The chorus is in honor of Conk starting in goal tonight.
And BTW, if you’ve never watched the greatest rock and roll movie of all time, The Band’s “The Last Waltz” (directed by Martin Scorsese), check it out.

Oh frack. Aerosmith, More Than A Feeling (What? They had more than one song?), The Cars, or Centerfold (see what I said about Boston)?
And you want me to CHOOSE?
My brain just froze. Yes, I’m aware that my taste in music sucks, I just never thought it would align so perfectly with those of The Chief.

I was really leaning toward blues of J. Geils and the “Detroit Breakdown”... Second thoughts however, have my vote for Boston one of the premier guitar bands ever, ohh frack, Aerosmith gets it—for Hoss “Back in the Saddle” yeah thats it, I think.
“The HighLander” says Cleary on the #1 line with Hoss and Dats, Kopecky back to the Grif line with Fil and Happy.

Definitely pre-rehab Aerosmith. “Same Ol’ Song and Dance” and “Mama Kin” blew out my speakers a long time ago.

Chief, Boston is pretty much not an option… I request you remove them from the poll. Having them as an option completely jinxes this shit.

Boston…
Flashback…..I am channeling my Marantz receiver pumping 40 HUGE watts that shredded the mid range on the roomies speakers playing “Boston” on the ole phonograph…
Replacing the speakers certainly hit the wallet and curtailed the “extracurricular” indulgences for many a week.
Dont’ need no Boston.

Well as I was making my breakfast/lunch/British tradition “bubble and squeak” post Christmas Dinner meal (Bubble and Squeak is all your veggies from Christmas Dinner mixed and mashed up together, i.e. mashed potatos, squash, stuffing, cauliflower and/or broccoli/ and/or brussel sprouts, thrown into a hot oiled up pan and browned on both sides something like hashed browns you’d get at Waffle House, and you can add some leftover turkey with Branston pickle with the bubble and squeak… my ex-wife is British, even 8 years after being divorced I still make bubble and squeak. In England this is served on Boxing Day (Dec 26 in UK and Canada) and for as many days after Christmas as it lasts. Since my Turkey Thanksgiving Dinner is nearly indistinguishable from my Christmas Dinner, the end of November also sees several days of bubble and squeak).
Anyhoo, while making bubble and squeak my iMac was rotating thru my “Cars” collection. So it’s a Cars vote, nearly psychic by Chief.
Also, last night’s Seger was on the money for Ozzie, “working on mysteries without any clues, working on Night Moves”. Find that puck, Oz.

What, no New Kids on the Block?
I’ll take a write in for Dropkick Murphys. But if I must, go with Boston. They’re just so damn catchy.

You voted last year? Wow, psychic for sure.

If I can write-in, then The Rolling Stones or Dropkick Murphys. The Warrior’s Code is giving my speakers a workout right now. Otherwise, I throw in my hat for pre-rehab Aerosmith.

Tough as in the above aren’t worth voting for…. sorry but those 4 are horrid. Aerosmith if you go pre 1980, the rest are uhhhhhhh…. bad.
How about Chip Away at the Stone? Insert giving up 3 goals and luke warm D for the Stone…..
