I have been waiting for tonight since June5th. The morning after the season ended. Expectations are high for this season but they always are. I have been watching Red Wing Hockey for over forty years and i am looking forward to forty more.
My boys have all grown up watching good hockey from our beloved Wings, but I have reminded them it hasn’t been all Stanley Cups and good seasons. I’m so glad that the Darkness with Harkness days are far behind.
They serve as a good reminder to be thankful for what we fans have. A great team.
Tonight we get to see one of the most arrogant and annoying guys behind the bench.
The always whining Ron Wilson.
You know, the guy that said, “I have a record second to none.” Right before he was fired. I’m sure he is very happy to be in the east. I’m also sure he will be a loser there. And of course Thanks, Gary.Ass

Pod: VS is supposed to have the ceremony. Their coverage starts at 7:00 ET and the puck is supposed to drop at 7:30. I heard Hradek on the NHL channel state that the NHL Network was going to carry the pregame as well—not sure about that though.
All I know is that on DISH NETWORK VS is not in HD tonight, sicne they share the HD channel with the Golf channel—we get LPGA in HD tonight!!!!

Gabe, I was futzing around with the avatar and it got stuck on the golden boys known as the Bruise Brothers from the Avalanche. (Per Ledin with Emil Kaberg) Paul had the story up earlier in the week. Tried to go back to “Timmay”. Wound up with a hungover dog.
How? I do not know.
The dog is prolly a pre-curser to the day after Jimmy Buffet next week…..

Hey Jeff, same thing on DirecTV. LPGA in HD while the Wings are rocking it ‘70s Color TV style.
At least I can record the LPGA in HD and practice my Carl Spackler impersonation after the game.

We’re baaaaaaaaaaack. Not a frigging moment too soon either. Hoist the colors to its proper resting place, ya know with the other like 10 & drop the biscuit!
Just got hooked up with a new lap top and wireless… ‘cept I too dumb to get the router and modem to be nice to eachother. So, I’ll be in & out tonight, but will be good to go quite soon.
LPGA in HD,???? I clearly don’t get paid enough or wear a nice enough suit to work to make that decision over the Defending Cup Champs season opener.
Tis the second most wonderful tim of the year, the Playoffs are indeed the most wonderful time of the year!!!
This shit with Sammy on the point had better come to a halt before the trading deadline, or at least the playoffs.

CBC will also be broadcasting this game. So if you’ve got the option and want to hear some decent play-by-play and commentary, there’s your station. Coverage starts at 7EST. I’m not sure if they’ve got any HD stuff yet tho.

CBC has gotten rid of Bob Cole. Now the smooth voice of Jim Hughson will be heard. Some may not like Hughson, but I think he is 100% class.
We are unleashing the full circus for the full time all season. Watch out NHL. Barring injuries or bad luck we are definitely the team to beat this year. Watch as the Wings repeat again to silence all haters and bitches. B2B#12!
