Update from Khan(!),
Osgood said his strained groin felt much better after today’s morning skate, so he will not need to go on the long-term injured reserve list.
“I should be ready to go after Christmas,’’ Osgood said. “Two more days (of rest), that’ll make it 10 days (since his last game), that’ll be perfect. It was just tight but I want it to be 100 percent so I know I won’t hurt it again for the rest of the year.’‘
He’ll back up Ty Conklin tonight against the Blues and Friday in Nashville and said he might be able to start Saturday in Colorado.
