This is Game 3 and let me tell you something about what’s going on right about now.
The Wings smell blood. They win this one? The main hatchway’s giving in. There will be no stopping this team. No denial of Cup number 12. A Dynasty in hand.
Take a deep breath because I’ve got something I want you to understand. It’s going to be difficult and it’s going to hurt a bit, but I have my reasons.
Today is the anniversary of 34.7.
One year ago you were stabbed in the temple, then vice gripped.
Hate me if you must because let me tell you this.
Thursday is the one year anniversary of Cup #11. One of those anniversaries is going to trump the other.
I’ve felt it all day and I’m not backing down from this one…this team is ready to play its best game of the series, maybe of the playoffs. That’s what they do when a Cup is so close. It’s the Red Wing way.
