Pick Your Hero

Updated 2257:  So I’m thinking that may have been a bad idea.  I’ll look inward this evening and let you know.  Introspection after an OT loss is always fun.

Last time we did this was Game 6 in Calgary, so I don’t want to read any of you whining about me jinxing anything.  Pick your game winner here.  First to choose the hero gets a 3 dollar gift certificate to the Saginaw/Bay City/Midland Tri-City Airport bar.

Me? I’m going with, yep, Bob Lang.

Interesting in this series.  Wings should not have won Game 1 but did, Ducks should not have won Game 2 and did.  Hmmm.

I wouldn’t give it another thought Chief, that’s just how this series is going to go.  Hopefully the Wings figure out how to win faceoffs and forcheck starting with game 3 - if they do, I reckon it’ll be anybody’s game.  If not, it’ll be up to our beloved insane Czech to steal one on the left coast.

Last night 28 to 27 face offs (ducks I think) 27 to 25 SOG (ducks I think)

not sure on the hits tally, but how much closer do you want the WINGS to play? Yea it would be nice if we could skate unduckified into their zone, but we managed to play a pretty even game depsite a slow going first period.

Ugly goals yea! Should the 2nd one have counted? Meh (as Jaye says in Cootieville) Toronto was in the house according to VS so what did it matter? Done and over with. Can the WINGS win in the pond? YEP I have confidance, so long as the WINGS keep up what they’ve done in every other series, ONE GAME AT A TIME focus. Period. Do the little things and the BIG ONES will come. BIG BERT was moving by the 3rd and LANG… well Bobby finally earned a bit of his paycheck in that game!  Game 2 in the books, series tied… reminds me of another series we played….. Remember the outcome?????

GO WINGS!
