Please Don’t Betray The “Spirit Of The Live Blog”

There are rules you know. Unwritten and never followed, but there are rules. And if you don’t know them, here are some guidelines to help you imagine them:
—Don’t do anything during a live blog that would make you look smarter, funnier or physically stronger than anyone else. The live blog was created so that all posters are exactly the same. Don’t ruin that for the slower typists.
—If you come up with an idea that may give you an advantage over other live bloggers, set it aside. Or email me. Better yet, submit the idea to me in writing and in triplicate. I’ll farm it out to the committee and we’ll decide, over the span of 19 months, whether the idea will benefit the entire community of posters.
—I’m the GM of this live blog. I believe, through several successful live blogs, that my live blogging is beyond reproach. In fact, I think that I’m the best damn Live Blog GM in the world. So, if you’re going to criticize me for the way I conduct my Live Blog..if you’re going to question the ethical way I go about hosting these Live Blogs, I’d suggest you show me—specifically—just how I’m breaking some sort of mythical Live Blog rule.
No? You don’t have that? Oh. Well that’s too bad.
I guess you can, I don’t know, suck it then.
It’s a Live Blog bitches.
