Ya, they’re starting to move the puck up and down along the boards instead of across the top where the forwards can still kill the point.
Still not finding the seams, but there’s been lots of trash around the net. Foot on the gas.

Honestly, I hope they give Ozzie the start on Friday. I know that conventional wisdom says that you should stick with one goalie, but I think we have to make some serious changes for the next game.

Well, kids, it’s been a pressure. Have fun Friday night watching the game. I’m having surgery that day so I’ll hopefully be under a LOT of heavy pharmaceuticals and won’t have to ride the stress train like I did tonight, because lord knows the beer didn’t work.

Ozzie for the stretch. I was OK w. the CMOI until tonight, but Ozzie was just too good and should be rewarded by starting Game 5.

Agree on Osgood, Hasek is just too old. Two games in 3 days is his limit, 3 games in 5 days is really pushing it, 4 games in 7 days? Fuhgedaboudit.

Lots of positives to take away from tonight, at least the third period.
-Ozgood is definitely the goalie on Friday.
-Dats looks like he is going to be a dominant playoff presence.
-Nick was Nick
-Nik lines em up like no else
~lots needs to be fixed. I’m not sure what’s going on with Stuart but the coaches need to tell him to back off just a little. He hasn’t made the big hits like Kronner but is getting caught way too often. Raffy needs to be reminded that he is a playoff veteran, has won cups and can start playing like it now.
~Hudler and Fil can show up anytime they please; they had decent games but I really want Fil to be stronger on the puck. He gets knocked around far too much.

Here’s a real kick in the spuds:
If not for a fortunate bounce off of a lineman in Game 1 and a referee’s quick whistle in Game 2, this series could conceivably be over right now.

I hate to say it, but the Trotz/Poile lobby axis was successful. The Wings couldn’t buy a decent call tonight. It was a mugging fest out there.
That’s not to say they shouldn’t have been able to overcome it though. That third period is the only reason I have a 1% positive outlook for Friday.
The first and, yes, the second periods were among the biggest letdowns I’ve had as a Wings fan. I never dreamed this would happen, after the season they had. This series is quickly becoming a nightmare.
Also:
McCreary is a prick. Was his whistle and “GET THE F—- IN THERE!” outburst to Holmstrom also on the Versus feed?
And can someone send a tape of the Tootoo-using-Draper-as-a-rug sequence to the League offices?
And someone needs to burn every last train whistle in the state of Tennessee.
And I could have counted the number of faceoffs in which a player (Red Wing or Pred) was not thrown out of the circle tonight on one hand. A combination of McCreary’s micromanagement and a power-tripping linesman made face-offs a joke. I wish I had stats on the winning percentage of the winger coming into the circle.
