Ready, Set, Vomit…Down Goes Hank

Update: Bruce MacLeod reported via Twitter that Zetterberg has a shoulder issue and drove himself to get an MRI.  MacLeod also mentioned that of all the injured Wings, Filppula is the closest to returning.

Prepare to pump bilges.  Johan Franzen, Valtteri Filppula, Jason Williams, Niklas Kronwall, Dan Cleary, Darren Helm, Jonathan Ericsson and now…

Latest word, and only word we have, is that it was upper body.

My personal feeling is that it’s a concussion, but from the way he was flattened it could be anything from head to rib to shoulder to spleen.  He was wrecked.

In terms of the Ice Jerseys contest?  Here’s who predicted Hank would be the next Wing to fall:

So I’m going to say Hank, foot, 4 weeks.
Please, please, let me lose this contest.

Isn’t it about time for Z’s back to flare up?
Z, back, two weeks.

Hank, back, 2 weeks and a day.

If Hank doesn’t play the next game the winner is one of those three and it will come down to how long he’s out.  Unless it’s a foot then the prize automatically goes to Jenny. If it’s a back, then the duration tie-break comes goes into effect.

Disgusting. I know.

About Abel to Yzerman

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977.  No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y.  Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation.  There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature.  Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
