Much more to be said tomorrow.

But just for tonite?  2007 is over and done with.  Despite some of the absolute worst officiating in NHL playoff history?  The dynasty survives.

And Al Balderas?  I’ve got a few things for you tomorrow.

Hey 19?  8 to 12.

Everything evens out at the end. The Wings were screwed so many times this year on goalie interference, and then when they actually do interfere the refs don’t even review it. There is a hockey god.

If it wouldn’t send him into a downward spiral of alcoholism at the worst possible time, I’d buy Daniel Cleary about twelve of Newfoundland’s finest ales tonight.

But it would, so I won’t.

I’ll just say: Thank God for Newfoundland!

Cleary’s goal was interference.  So what, shit happens.  Deal with it.  It happened to both teams this series.  Ducks got breaks on the penalties (the Hossa high sticking penalty on Wisniewski was a total dive, the Pronger-cross-checking-Hudler-into-Hiller goalie interference).  Wings got some breaks too (the two holding penalties against the Ducks were jokes), but that’s hockey.  You gotta win the game, not the bitch-fest afterwards.

And this is exactly what I’ve been saying.  You gotta risk something.  If the Wings had lost, every single one of the 19 would have been crushed.  I think it’s safe to say we never would have recovered from a loss in this game.  We put everything on the line.  The Wings won, and we’re gloating, and we feel good about ourselves, but we deserved it for putting it all on the line.  That’s why I can’t stand Balderas—he didn’t put anything on the line.  I bet he writes a story tomorrow saying, “Yeah, the Wings won, like they were supposed to, but the Ducks pushed them to 7 games, and no one expected that, so that’s a victory for them.”  Bullshit.  The Ducks lost, and that’s all there is too it.

Good game from both teams.  Definitely the most entertaining game of the series, and that’s probably true for fans of both teams.  Finally, the Wings have a real rival.  We all wanted to have the Ducks as a rival after ‘06, but we all secretly knew that the Wings had to beat the Ducks before there was any real two-way hatred.  Now it’s on.  It’s on.

This feels good.  Real, real good.

I hope the Ducks team plane crashes in Tennessee.  I hope they are forced to survive in the mountain wilderness.  I hope Pronger impales his neck on a wayward branch and bleeds to death for three days.  I hope Perry catches a fish, tries to gut it, but instead slits his wrist.  I hope Getslaf finds the mountain man of his dreams.

I hope.

What a goal.  What a game.  What a series.

Have fun on the golf course, Schmucks.  I hope you all get hit by lightning out on the links.  And that the resulting nervous system damage keeps you from pro hockey, but cogent enough to watch us win.  Again and again.

Chief, I don’t mean to annoy you, or anyone else, but this going on EVERY thread until the little bitch responds:

I don’t mean to be crass, but there is a little matter of a wager made back in early March…

I got a C-note that says they don’t get out of the 2nd round.  You want some action - put your money where your mouth is.  You or anyone else.

As I recall Lurker, SOMEBODY DID take you up on that offer.  I know you’re here—you came back to taunt us last week.  Jiri Fischer wants another defibrillator, bitch.

“Cleary’s goal was interference”

No. It. Wasn’t.

The puck was live in the crease, it was NEVER covered, and we had a referee who, for once, was IN THE RIGHT POSITION to make the correct call.  Cleary wasn’t even in the crease, I don’t think.  His stick was, but if I remember correctly, that’s all.  Hiller can eat it, Pronger (who went into the corner after Z on the play) can suck it, Carlyle can blow me, NeiderDick can fu ck off, and Anaheim’s trainer can go screw a goat (I’m sure he deserves it somehow).  THAT GOAL WAS CLEAN AND ANAHEIM’S SEASON IS OVER.  BOTTOM LINE.

Suck it Niedermayer, you dirty old piece of trash who should have retired 2 years ago.  Take your pathetic body, slow mind, and weak game and go to the light already.  Might actually be doing your team a favor in doin git.

Suck it Perry, you piece of garbage trying to seek out the Wing you know has been injured and then try to hurt him more.

Suck it Carlyle, have fun trying to figure out how whining will somehow change the fact that your season is over for good.
