Rock Bottom And A Note To Dater

No doubt about it. Consecutive 3-0 defeats to the Hawks is the worst we’ve seen in years.
With 13 players missing from last year’s roster, if you include Lilja and the departed Hossa, Samuelsson, Hudler, etc. Scoring is impossible. Good defense isn’t enough. Above average goaltending isn’t winning games.
And yet, we bide our time and count the nay sayers. We might be rocking back and forth but we’re taking notes while we do. So when idiots like Adrian Dater run off at their Twitter-enabled pie holes? We simply bookmark their crap and wait for April.
Now the Wings know what it’s like when injuries hit - you don’t win.
fun listening to wings fans say it’s all injuries for their woes, after dismissing colorado injuries for their woes a couple years ago
And when Wing bloggers start pushing back?
yeah, it’s tough to match up to that hard-hitting wings media, you’re right
So…Adrian Dater decides to watch a Wing/Hawk game, maybe takes leave of his senses for a bit and starts to let some deap-seated, long-festering bias show. Good enough. Want to go after the Wings, cool. After Wing fans? Got it. We talk enough that we know what to expect.
But I’m curious what prompts one beat writer to go after his peers in another town, unprovoked. This is a guy who blogs about a conversation he says he heard, revises, apologizes, quits Twitter because he says he’s been misinterpreted, joins again, on and on. And he elects to go after Detroit media?
Interesting.
Where are the weak spots among Detroit sportswriters Adrian, eh? “Hard hitting Wing media”? Care to expand on that Adrian? I mean, we have our issues with them, but they’re ours. Our issues are well-documented.
Yours Adrian? Care to explain? No. I didn’t think so.
@onthewings his site makes fun of the detroit beat writers every time i’ve ever seen it.
You’re right. I rip them quite a bit, but they’re ours. We read them every day, and I rip them as any fan has a right to. I’m wondering what the basic etiquette is among “peers.” Any idea Adrian? I guess not.
Rip us now Dater. Rip the Wings. Rip Wing fans. Rip our Diggers. We’re sitting 9th and it’s expected from the cities the Wings have crapped on for the last fifteen years. That describes Denver perfectly. It’ll be coming around though tough guy. April will be here soon enough and the Wings will hang around until they’re healthy. We’ll see who’s talking so much then.
Don’t believe me? Ask a Pens fan.
Can someone please remind Adrian Dater that half the Grand Rapids team won’t be suiting up in the Stanley Cup playoffs?

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
