Shake Up In The Ranks? Dig It

Update: It’s been 131 minutes since we posted this alert, and the response has been insane.  Emails, phone calls, telegraphs.  Hockeytown is an an uproar and I’m feeling the pressure to break this one wide open.  I’m resisting.  Until 0900 EST.
——-
The A2Y Investigative Squad, our interns from Ferris State, have broken another one.

Word has leaked that one of our Diggers is a Digger no more.

Which one?

More to follow.  While you wait, take a guess.

Which Deep Digger Has Moved On?

I vote Helenne. She’s the least annoying and therefore the most likely to go.

i vote helene as well.  She broke the story on lidstrom being captain.  Thats a major no-no.  You had to know shed be getting cut in the offseason.

Second choice would be kulfan, who in most articles, sounds like he doesnt even follow hockey.

Helene - She seems to actually take this “journalism” thing seriously and that means she is a risk, because she might start asking questions.

Khan(!) hasn’t posted anything since July 23. I’m betting it’s him.

Remember this?

(Credit to pal Craig Custance of The Sporting News, formerly of the AJC, for getting the story before anybody in Detroit. Custance will be moving back to Michigan soon. I believe it was a package deal with McCrimmon and Marian Hossa.)

The plot thickens!

Maybe Ted Kulfan is part of a package with Mark Hardigan to go to Latvia.

Drew Sharp could never be a Wings beat reporter. Can you imagine the amount of crap that would go on when Hahn told him what to write.

I’m going to guess Khan.  Malik has been a force with Snapshots and his reports from the prospect camp were the type of thing you’d never read from anyone else.  I could see him making the move from Grand Rapids to the big club.

its Khan for sure, nothing on mlive for a while!

Maybe George has staged a coup at mlive.

That means we could expect the announcement of Khan’s “voluntary” “retirement” to “pursue other opportunities” shortly.  smile

And I for one welcome George Malik as the new media overlord.

ofc, i seem to remeber Khan wrote some decent stuff untill he was Hahned.

it seems that eventually all beat writers apart from the anti-digger fall under the spell.

As much as I’d like it to be Kulfan so that he can go cover The Macon Whoopee or some such thing, I have to go with hard evidence (something the Dirty Diggers never do) and say it’s probably Khan.  Hoping for him to be replaced by George, but that won’t happen.  Custance is on his way up to Michigan now to toe the Party line.

Long live the bloggers, bastions of freedom, liberty, doubt and stress!

Reads like there’s about 19 votes for George, mine included.
In all honesty, I can live without all 3 and Drew Dull too.

Maybe all three are leaving?  Malik and MacLeod as primary Wings beat writers?  That would certainly enriched the quality of coverage and improve my quality of life by a significant amount.  I have to think it’s Teddy.  He’s been mailing it in for like six years now, his editors have to have noticed!

S***, man, I wish.  My plan for Wings coverage domination is in progress, but it’s not yet complete, dear readers.
