Somebody just sent me a link to a blog I hadn’t visited before.  I opened it, read the first three sentences, bookmarked it, added it to the sidebar on the starboard side (Head to Hockeytown) and then finished the post.

Why did it hook me?

Mr. Getzlaf, good to see you again. Mr. Neidermayer, it’s been too long. Mr. Pronger … don’t ever touch me. You’re an *#$%@&.

Exactly.  And I checked Pronger’s alleged Twitter account and saw it had been mentioned there too.

The blog?  Dirty Games.  And judging by the archives, these bastards have been around for like two years?  WTF?

More quality.

There is also, since we’re discussing additions, the matter of this little guy named Darren Helm, who I would really like to watch in a reality-TV style documentary. I often wonder if he does everything the same way he plays hockey. I have this mental image of little Darren Helm racing through a Sobey’s, his cart almost-but-not-quite out of control, bouncing off the shelves as he madly grabs cereal, milk, frozen pizza and whatever else he can get his hands on before making a mad dash to cut in front of someone just pulling into line at the cashier, sending them sprawling into the gum rack.

Dirty Games.  Bookmark it. Read it.  I have a feeling it’s going to be a daily deal around here the next several weeks.

Other issues:

—-Datsyuk nominated for the Selke again.  Debate if you want but there’s nobody better so if you disagree just STFU. 

—-Did somebody say the Wings are on tap for Friday and Sunday, both at 7pm?  So, the first question asked was the right question. Who gets the Sunday NBC games?  Oh, that must be the Pens. Gary’s Baby Boy, because he won the Cup and the Conn Smythe last year.  If Little Gary actually puts Pittsburgh in that slot instead of Detroit/Anaheim, he is a frigging idiot.  They could promo the hell out of Detroit/Poultry, but they won’t.
