We’re going early and I have my reasons.
With a win tonite, the Wings head home with 6/10. Still…the most depressing, disgusting, hazardous-to-your-pets road trip any of us can remember.
Noted.
Nobody cares what the rival bloggers are saying, or the MSM. Nothing would bring more joy to more people than a disastrous Detroit season.
But the bandwagon is getting light and the time is coming. You’re either in or you’re out. There’s a difference between being a passionate fan who takes losses personally, and being a “Wing fan” who seems to literally enjoy the struggles of the past month to confirm your own agenda. Read that again if you have to. Blasting the Wings for poor play is one thing and it’s expected. Reveling in it behind the facade of being a “real fan” is bullshit.
Nobody’s being banned from this site. That talk is tiresome. But when the Wings turn this around, we’ll see who climbs back aboard. When it’s no longer easy to pretend you know more than Mike Babcock, we’ll take a look back to October and see who stuck and who fled.
These Wings have given us a lot of amazing memories for much more than a decade. They deserve the benefit of the doubt and a lot of frigging rope.
Those who stay will be rewarded. I know this. Do not give up on this team.

With two players going down to block our point shot, it is time to start faking the point shot, moving around the sprawled player, and then shooting on net. I haven’t seen the Wings do that since we won the Cup.
And someone has to show the team footage of The Captain on the PK. They’ve forgotten about blocking shots with their body, altogether.
Draper robbed by Kipper. Draper is baffled. I’m not… Jobu has not been appeased.

Zetterberg and Cleary working very well together. This is Z’s best shift of the seaso n as he has been epic on both ends of the ice, I hope he scores as a reward.

Dangle draws the penalty. He is turning it up a notch as well.
Games like this inspire confidence in me. They still have a STFU gear, a little adversity and it gets engaged. Frankly, these struggles and injuries early may lead to one scrappy team come playoff time. And that combined with our skill in the postseason may be a very powerful mix.
The Wings are showing they deserve the benefit of the doubt right now.

Thus far, I would say this is the best two-way game the Wings have played all season.
I know, I know. Shutting Whore Mouth.
And Meech shows his value getting a penalty. Because our PK has been so great lately, he knew it would be no big deal.
