Aloha. Here’s the wager with the PensBlog girls. If the Genitalia-less flightless birds win tonite, I’ll be writing the game recap for the geniuses who frequent the C-blog. Vice versa. When the Wings win? You’ll be reading the prose of Charlie and his sorority sisters here tomorrow.

Incidentally, one cool moment on the PP? Our forwards tying up all of their players in front of the net, nothing happens, but hell. Three guys occupying five. Giving good chances to our blueliners.
Anyway, speaking of kiling things…I hear pen-gui-ins is just like chicken.

The Wings are a different (much better) team with Franzen. He makes that 2nd line really dangerous and Sammy looks more comfortable in a checking role.

Penguins are playing tight. It seems to me that they’re trying so hard not to suck against the Wings that they’re not playing their game. Let’s see if Therien can talk some sense in them between bouts of bitching about the refs.

It’s like it’s heresy these days to even dare to suggest that Crosby is a good player, but not a great one. If you don’t acknowledge that he’s the next Gretzky, than woe betide you for going contrary to the almighty League’s master plan.

I’m so glad to see Scuds back. That could have been nasty.
The only thing that really bothers me about that second goal is that it was Holmstrom who scored it. His entire game is parking his fat old ass in front of the goalie and moving his stick around, and then looking incredulously at the ref any time someone tries to move him. He’s good at it, so I guess I’ll give credit where it’s due, but still. I can’t stand the guy.
