According to John Niyo (not a Deep Digger…a little too talented and a bit too credible), Babcock probably has an idea which veteran grind liner is going to start tonite, but he’s not saying squat. We, of course, dig that.
Mike Babcock wasn’t hinting at any after Saturday’s morning skate, though he’d said Friday he planned to dress both Kirk Maltby and Darren McCarty for warmups from here on out and then scratch one. I would imagine Maltby’s still in and Mac’s still out, though, for Game 2.
Niyo also reports Stu Barnes (post-concussion syndrome) won’t be in tonite. The Anti-Digger, because there can be only one, reported that neither Homer nor Franzen skated today. Stress if you want, but I’m sure they’re both just banged and resting.

What was the penalty Winchester took at the end of game one? Was it slashing? Yes, I believe it was. Was Franzen his target? Yes, I believe it was.

Got slashed? Maybe. But that is all the more reason to play tonight and get payback, which as we know, is a pms-ing woman with clymetia.
