Been receiving a lot of emails from readers in St. Louis wondering where they can view the parade in Detroit today. Here you go, courtesy of Slap Shots.
WJBK - Channel 2 (Fox) - coverage starts 11 AM.
WDIV - Channel 4 (NBC) - coverage starts 9 AM
WXYZ - Channel 7 (ABC) - coverage starts 10 AM.
FSN Detroit - coverage starts 9 AM.

By coincidence, my daughter needs to be picked up from HS after her exam at 1115 a.m. I will just have to leave work and head home to stream the parade coverage. Long lunch, very long lunch, in fact I may not go back to work after, we’ll see.
Can’t abuse the internet at work, like now, so I maintain a $9/month dial up account with Netscape and plug my computer into my desk phone. This way checking The 19 doesn’t show up on my work internet usage, but it’s very slow and won’t support streaming.
Go Wings. I’m very happy for everybody.

Pharazon, I live just up the street from where they’re playing the US Open…I was thinking of hiring a couple of people to stand on either side of the entrance road with a “Red Wings 2008 Stanley Cup Champions” sign on one side of the road, and “Suck it, Tiger” on the other.

Tell that to the record crowd of 12,722 people that showed up last night for the ECHL finals in Cincinnati. I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was incredible.

Suggestion for the next parade after seeing the trolley of people go by: An A2Y Hasek stress train float. Maybe we can actually get Hasek to drive it…

One more reason I chose to be employed by a very small company. Freedom to use my time as I see “fit”. Tee frigging hee.
Then again 24/7 availibility kind of well SUCKS, but I get alot of “flex time” I don’t use….

The XYZ coverage is HORRIBLE. Who are those dips with the sports reporter? They are clueless and extemporaneous speaking is not a strength. Dear God. Wish I could get any of the other streams to work. Yay for YouTube.
