Suggestion for the Detroit News, Detroit Free Press and MLive. Want people…okay, maybe just me…to stop pointing out flaws in your hockey coverage?
Ready? Write this down, because I’m not going to say it more than twenty or thirty more times. Steal Bruce MacLeod away from the Oakland rag that won’t let him travel with the team.
Maltby or Helm? Helm. Chelios or Ericsson? Ericsson. Draper or Abdelkader? Abdelkader. Howard or Conklin? Conklin.
But those decisions are based on instant gratification.
Which leads me to this … with the Wings’ talent pool brought back to the pack this season, it looks to me that those loyal roster decisions are paying off right now.
You may not like what he has to say about veterans before youth, or vice versa, but at least he’s got the sack to share his opinion.
