CBJ vs Thrashers

So, here it is.  It is finally game day, can you believe it?!  As I sit here, I’m watching Behind the Mask with Patrick Roy, to gear me up for his number retirement.  Congrats Roy!

Anyway, onto the game.

Ken Hitchcock isn’t letting us know who the scratches will be.  It is between Jiri Novotny, Jared Boll, and Andrew Murray.  Just a guess, it’s going to be Jared Boll.  Boll hasn’t been playing well, and he knows it.  He hasn’t been hitting and bringing the toughness like he usually does, that’s why Derek Dorsett is back up with the club.  Here is Hitchcock on Boll.

“Last year, it was ‘get the puck deep,’ ” Hitchcock said. “This year, it’s ‘I can make a play.’ When you get outside your foundation, you overthink and underreact. That’s what’s going on with Jared. We’re trying to simplify his game. He’s made it too complicated. There’s too many thoughts in his head, too much hesitation in his game.”

Steve Mason is getting the start in net and Pascal Leclaire is backing him up.  It’s going to be a good test for the Blue Jackets, we need a win after the embarassment that was the game on Tuesday, and what better way to get the boys going again than a win on the road, with at least one fan there.  (Have fun Skye!)

Rick Nash needs to show us some effort.  The special teams needs to get going.  All the lines need to start producing, and all the boys need to give their all tonight.  This is an important game for November, and we need a win, especially against Ron Hainsey and his new team.

Much more after the game.
