Bethany's Hockey Rants

Comings and Goings

Chimera to the IR.

Wilson to Syracuse.

Picard up from Syracuse.

York up on emergency recall from Syracuse.

Murray out with an upper-body injury.

Norrena signed with Kazan Ak Bars of the KHL.

Brassard out with a shoulder injury, and there is no telling how long he will be out.

Tollefsen had knee surgery.

And, to top it all off, Nash, could be out tonight with the flu.

Wow.  It should be an interesting game tonight.  According to Puck-Rakers the Jackets could potentially dress 19 players.  That’s not good.  Klesla did skate today, but according to Hitchcock will not be playing tonight.

Here are the hopeful lines for tonight.

Rick Nash - R.J. Umberger - Jake Voracek
Kristian Huselius - Jiri Novotny - Fredrik Modin
Mike York - Michael Peca - Jared Boll
Alexandre Picard - Manny Malhotra - Derek Dorsett

Ugh, I know the injury bug hits every single team, so I will try not to complain too much.

The Brassard injury is the one that hurts the most.  He’s our only skilled center.  So, what do we do, we’re going to have to make a trade, I mean, what else is there to do?  No way Mike York is the answer for this team.  Something has got to give.

At least we have Steve Mason, that gives us a chance to win every single night.

As for the Malhotra “no goal” in Dallas the other night, according to Campbell all eight people in the booth were unanimous that it was not a goal.  I find that curious considering of the 30+ people I have had watch it, say it was a good goal.  Moving.  On.
