Nikita Filatov will take the ice tomorrow night against the Buffalo Sabres. It should be a good game, it’s always loud when the Sabres are in town. And we are icing a team with mostly regulars. Here’s the lineup for tomorrow night:
Norrena will be in in net, with Leclaire backing him up. We are icing a defense with two of our regulars Commodore and Klesla, then the other four are fighting for positions. Clay Wilson, Grant Clitsome, Ole-Kristian Tollefsen, and Marc Methot. Marc Methot is a bit of a story himself. He seems to be a little angry at the Blue Jackets organization.
“If the (Blue Jackets) want to hold on to me, they can,” Methot said. “And if not, good riddance. I’ll go somewhere else. That’s the bottom line.
“It’s really frustrating. I’d be lying if I said otherwise. It’s tough, actually, to come in and still compete for a spot. And I’m sure a lot of guys feel the same.”
Methot has never cracked the lineup out of training camp, and it’s not looking like he’s not going to do it this year either unless he steps it up a few notches.
Our forwards are going to be interesting.
Modin, Umberger, and Voracek make up the top line for tomorrow night. The second line is Nash on the left, Manny down center, and Huselius on the right. The third line, is Filatov, Peca, and Murray. I would have liked to see Filatov paired with Brassard and Voracek, just to see what our young guys can do, but with Brassard out with the flu, it is not going to happen. The fourth line will be either Sestito or Picard, with Novotny and Dorsett. My guess is Picard gets the nod just because of how he handled himself on Monday, but you never know what is going to happen.
If should be a fun game tomorrow night, I won’t be able to attend, but I will be attending Friday’s game.

I’m so pumped to see what Nik Filatov can do. Conventional wisdom would dictate that he play at the Q this year, but I’d really love to see his attitude & skill with the big club. The kid has a tremendous attitude & outlook. He is going to be something special!
