Injures get me down…

What do you do when your team keeps taking injury hits?

Well, if your me, you feel sorry for yourself...really sorry for yourself.

I know I shouldn’t and I was doing well for a while but after the loss to the Blues, I just want to feel bad. Nothing like self pity I guess.

Huselius is out with a possible concussion and won’t play on Tuesday.

Novotny is out Tuesday also with a possible concussion.

Chimera won’t play on Tuesday.

Torres may start skating on Thursday, by himself.

Tollefsen has been cleared for full-contact practice. That’s good news, it feels like his recovery was quite quick, but maybe it wasn’t, maybe that is just me.

Pazzy is getting his ankle examined. It’s supposedly a scheduled appointment but the more I think about it the shadier it seems. Mason gets the nod on Tuesday. So, if Pazzy is healthy...why hasn’t he played? Tom mentioned it in the comments, and it got me thinking. I am so pre-occupied with the play of Mason that I haven’t even thought about Pazzy, let alone his lack of playing time. Is this what it feels like to have a Brodeur or Luongo on your team? Do you just forget your backup? Pazzy has the potential to be an excellent goaltender, I mean look at his play last season! But, he’s not getting playing time, so how do we know he will perform to that level when he goes back in? Where would the Blue Jackets be without Steve Mason? It’s a scary thought.

Sorry about the rant, but the goalie situation is quite an interesting one for the Blue Jackets.

It’s kind of depressing right now, with all the injuries, but, at least we’re in the playoff race. And, Foote is coming to town so I get to boo him. That is exciting.

Feh. We’re 3-1 on the supposedly impossible road trip. 6 points. We’re in 8th place - or were the last time I checked.

The sky isn’t falling. The team was tired, got sloppy, and let a bunch of punks get under their skin.

Not playing Pazzy against the Blues, though....that’s just wierd.

Well, Minnesota won, so we are out of that 8th spot.

I know the sky isn’t falling, but with all these injuries, and the game against the Red Wings on Tuesday, it doesn’t make me feel good. I am sure I’m just feeling sorry for myself though.

I am so bummed that I won’t be able to see Foote get booed out of Nationwide. Sports starting back up in our household this week and one of the boys has basketball that night.

Boo for me! I am going to try to catch it on tv.

I’m thinking that we might be seeing Filatov this week. How can you not call him up with all the injuries to our forwards?

6 out of 8 points...3 games in 4 nights… all in all a succesful road trip to this point. I think injuries/fatigue played a part in the loss to the Blues. It’s not an excuse, just an observation.

It’s always darkest before the dawn.

I don’t know why, but I have a feeling that something good is gonna happen this week. Maybe tomorrow night, maybe in Washington, maybe somewhere in between, but I just feel like something’s been building and people are going to step up.
