Bethany's Hockey Rants

Kings, Legein, and Liveblog

The Jackets are playing the Kings tonight, Mason is in net for the Blue Jackets, and Quick is in net again for the Kings.  I found it interesting that Hitchcock wanted to shake things up with the goaltender and put Leclaire in, but that’s just me.  Mason is riding a shutout and is obviously the hot goaltender and you have to go with that.

In other random news, the meeting between Stefan Legein and the Blue Jackets is set for January 5.  This is great news for Crunch, who are not playing their best hockey right now.  Stefan has the potential to be a great player, and hopefully he is back in shape and will quickly get into the lineup for the Crunch.  I don’t expect him being a callup at anytime this season, but it will be nice to have him back.

NOW, onto some more exciting news.  Don’t forget that I am heading to Chicago on New Years Eve for the Winter Classic.  I will unfortunately be missing the game against the Ducks, but it is definitely worth it.  I will be writing more about it tomorrow but let me know if you are going and what you’re most excited for!!

I will be doing a liveblog tonight, but if nobody shows (because it’s not on tv) I will stop.  Also, please bare with me, it’s the first time I have done this, so be patient.  I am starting up at 10:15.  See you there!!
