Legein Set to Return!

Earlier this year, Stefan Legein quit hockey. I found out via an e-mail, and I was absolutely heart broken. Legein was one of my favorite prospects and it was absolutely devastating. Now, Legein has decided to come back.

‘’I am planning to go to Columbus at the beginning of January and from there I hope to be going to Syracuse (of the American League),’’ Legein told TSN. ‘’That’s the plan. I am looking forward to it. It’s time.’’

It’s great news. While he will still have to earn the trust of his teammates, and the fans, I am positive that he can do it. He’s a pest, and looks up to Sean Avery, though I don’t know that he has the mouth of Avery. Here’s what Howson had to say:

‘’He was a pretty good prospect,’’ Howson added with an emphasis on the past tense, suggesting though he could be that again. ‘’Now he has to prove it. He didn’t work out all summer. He hasn’t played a game in a long time. He’s got some work ahead of him. But if he’s serious about it, that’s great. Based on what we saw in junior, at the world juniors, he’s a player who could have a career (in the NHL). If this is what he wants, we support it and look forward to it.’’

While he definitely still has a long way to go to get back. I am willing to welcome him with open arms, and am actually pretty pumped that he is returning. My e-mail and phone was flooded with messages saying that Stefan is back. I guess everyone knows how much I enjoy the kid!

I will have more on this later, but I wanted to get this up before work.

Welcome back Stefan, you were missed, by me at least.

I enjoy Stefan as well...not as much as our new goalie...but since they play different positions....I will look forward to his return! Everyone needs a break now and again.
