Preds again, already?

Hey look at that, I can do three in a row, and tomorrow I will go for four in a row.
The Jackets are hosting the Nashville Predators tonight. Let’s just ignore the fact that the Preds have had our number for...well ever.
This season we have a new beginning. We have Mason. Mason who is my favorite player. Yes, that’s right, I finally decided on a favorite player to get his jersey. Which is why, I will be purchasing my first hockey jersey with a name on the back. Woo.
Anyway, we are currently 1-1-0 with the Predators. We have beat them at home, and well, I think we can do it again. Dorsett, Torres, and Klesla are on the IR, while Novotny and Tollefsen are likely to be healthy scratches...meaning that Backman is back. That’s great news....I found myself at ease when he was a healthy scratch.
Here’s what I think the Jackets need to do tonight in order to win.
* If Tootoo plays, IGNORE him. I am talking to you Commodore.
* Get pucks to the net, and make sure someone is in front of the goaltender creating a screen.
* Communicate. I know I can’t hear you guys on the ice, but if there is a dumb play, odds are, you didn’t communicate.
* Come out with passion, fire, and come out hard. Throw everything at them.
* Win faceoffs. If you don’t win it cleanly go in and fight for it, and win the battles along the board.
Please win tonight guys, it’ll make me happy, and I promise...no studying during the game!

The game went down to the wire last night and I loved it. I generally do not have much confidence in Nash during a shootout but he proved me wrong last night and I loved it. Great job captain! The young one, meaning Mason, played a great game. I love to watch him play. Now let’s get ready for Saturday boys.
