Russell is coming back

Happy Thanksgiving!

This is going to be a quick post, mainly because I have cooking and what not to do.

Thankfully, I missed most of the last period so I didn’t get to see my team lose in the final minutes of the game.

Let’s talk about the big news of the game.  Derek Dorsett has a broken finger.  He received that broken finger after an amazing fight with Daniel Carcillo.

Dorsett has been placed on Injured Reserve, and Kris Russell has been called back up, it’s about time!  Although it is unfortunate that Dorsett had to get injured that we had to bring him back.

The Blue Jackets had 40 shots on goal and should have been able to capitalize on more of them.  Kristian Huselius was all over the ice tonight, he had six shots on goal, he only scored one, but he should have had at least two goals but was robbed by Tellqvist.

We had a 5 on 3 and we weren’t able to capitalize on it.  Here’s Brassard on the power play.

“You have a power play, 5-on-3, at the end and we’ve got to get it done. It’s unacceptable, I think. In future games, I’d like to see us score goals and guys get put out there for a reason and that’s including myself. We’re out there to score goals and that’s the bottom line.”

Our power play is absolutely pathetic, hopefully Russell can help out with that.

Hitch called for a practice today…we’ll see how that goes.

Here was his post game press conference, just so you can see how upset he was.

“We’re not ready to win.”

Ouch.
