The last month or so, I have had so much on my mind that it’s started to affect my sleep. So, I lay around at night and I tend to think about things that make me happy. Family, friends, you name it, it runs through my mind at some point in the night.
So, last night as I was laying in bed, I came up with a theory.
It’s not a huge revelation, or anything. But, the hockey gods are finally smiling on the Blue Jackets.
I mean, granted we’re not number one in the central division, and I don’t expect to be. But, we are in the race, the deadline is coming up, and we are going to be buyers…for the first time. Ever.
This is huge.
We have leaders on this hockey club, like Rick Nash, Freddy Modin, Michael Peca, Manny Malhotra and Mike Commodore.
We can make the playoffs. We have to buckle down, and play. The schedule is in our favor…a little bit. But we have teams, all these teams around us. We need a good stretch now.
Sorry this is not an in depth post or anything, but there isn’t much to say. I had a post all thought out in my head devoted to Mike Commodore, but I will save it for another day.
Rusty Klesla was officially moved to the injured reserve. Jiri Novotny is officially off the injured reserve. We’ll find out tomorrow who is in net. Steve Mason will hopefully come off IR, but, LaCosta earned another start, so you never know.
Red Wings and Jackets tomorrow at 7. Wings played tonight, so we need to come out and have a good first period.
