Tales from Wrigley

Just got to Wrigley and am happy to report that I am indoors, it’s definitely interesting though.
When I was walking to my area, I saw a group of people crowded around in a circle. I went and did a little investigation, and sure enough, some of the Detroit Red Wings were out, among the fans, kicking a soccer ball around. I tried to get a photograph, but it didn’t turn out quite as well as I had hoped. Kris Draper, Johan Franzen, and Jiri Hudler were just some of the guys out there.
It was greally great to see them out there with the fans. Draper even turned to a young Blackhawks fan, and asked him who he was rooting for, the kid just smiled. It was nice to see them though, they were laughing playing rock paper scissors to see who would go first, and trying to convince the other guys that if it went off a fan that it was still in.
THere was even one point where Draper kicked it to someone and it nearly went into the concession stand. It’s time like that I wish I had a video camera.
Thought I would give you an update before the game started. I am going to go and see some of the fans, and try to take some pictures to post.
Here is my picture from the guys playing soccer, sorry, all I had was my phone.

So I played hockey for most of my life and then took up soccer in my late 20’s. There are many similarities between the two sports besides the fact that one is played with a stick on ice and the other is a ball on grass;)
