Raffi Torres is going to be out for longer than expected. He is going through arthroscopic knee surgery.
COLUMBUS, OHIO – Columbus Blue Jackets left wing Raffi Torres will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery on Friday and is expected to be sidelined two to four weeks, club General Manager Scott Howson announced today. Torres was placed on Injured Reserve on December 2.
I expected him to have another surgery, obviously he hasn’t been 100% since coming back to the hockey club and if he is in as much pain as he says he is, then he needs to have another one and get going again.
It is a big blow to the Jackets. Torres was acquired over the summer from the Oilers. He has one goal and three assists in 14 games this season. Here’s to a speedy recovery Raffi.
