Hey, a win against the Preds, that’s something new and different.
For the second time this season the Blue Jackets beat the Nashville Predators. It was a good win, because, well, any win against the Predators is a good win. There isn’t anything you can say or do to change that. Let’s face it, Jackets fans crave these wins. I crave them because the more they happen, the more I get to taunt my Pred loving cousin.
Anyway, Steve Mason was great for the Jackets, as usual.
Quote of the night, when asked if Mason was going to hit a wall…Hitch’s response was classic.
“Yeah, I think definitely . . . in July.”
I think I might agree with him.
Mason earned the start on Saturday against the Islanders, and Leclaire will be starting on Sunday.
Still no word on what to do with Norrena. I feel sorry for him, I really think we should at the very least send him to Syracuse for a conditioning stint.
The Islanders are coming off a horrific loss against the Penguins, where not one, but two hat tricks were scored. Expect them to be mad, and to come out with everything they have.
Commodore scoring his first goal was great. It’s nice to see, especially considering it was almost scored on the power play.
How shocked was I that we won in a shootout? Extremely. Probably even more shocked that Nash scored in the shootout.
Anyway, as for tomorrow, there won’t be a pre-game post, or a post-game post, as I will be helping my dad with his Christmas party.
