Welcome back Dorsett

Rusty Klesla has been placed on IR. He apparently is going to be out for at least two weeks. With Rusty on IR it opened up a spot for Derek Dorsett to be called up. I think this is a great move. I didn’t want Dorsett to be sent down in the first place, and now that he is up, I don’t expect him to go down. Dorsett adds toughness, something you’d think we would have with Ole-Kristian Tollefsen and Jared Boll.
Dorsett is a guy who gave it all every shift. He’s a great addition and I am really glad to have him back in Columbus.
With Pascal Leclaire’s uh…performance on Tuesday he’s a no go for Saturday against the Thrashers. Mason will be in net. On Hitch’s show he apparently called Pazzy “soft” so now I do kind of wonder if Leclaire will sit in the press box on Saturday. Highly unlikely but I think it’s possible. At some point Norrena needs to play, and a decision needs to be made on these goaltenders.
Here are the lines that the boys practiced today:
F1: Kristian Huselius—Derick Brassard—Rick Nash
F2: Jason Chimera—R.J. Umberger—Fredrik Modin
F3: Raffi Torres—Michael Peca—Jared Boll/Derek Dorsett
F4: Andrew Murray—Manny Malhotra—Jiri Novotny/Jake Voracek
I do NOT like Voracek on the fourth line, and I am not happy that the goat line is not together. They were the most consistant line we had.
Also, a Dispatch reader apparently brought up the negativity that is the Dispatch’s coverage of the Blue Jackets. I don’t agree, Aaron Portzline and Michael Arace are two of my favorite writers, not just because they’re my teams writers, but because they are great writers. They’re people that I look up to, and that I hope I can write as well as they can someday. Tom Reed is still new to me, and while I do feel like sometimes he is negative, it isn’t all the time. The negative things he says, are true, most of the time. I do still appreciate his writing, and his coverage of the team, even if I don’t agree with it.
What do you guys think about the coverage on the Dispatch?

I think the Puck-Rakers crew are some of the best “pro bloggers” out there. They cover the team like nobody else, and they report what’s going down, good, bad, or indifferent. When times are good, they cheer with you. When times are bad, they jeer with you.
After a game like Tuesday, I don’t need to be coddled. I need to know what the team is doing to fix it. And the Dispatch has always been very fair with the Jackets.
