Wings? Well, okay then.

We have an opponent, and well, we know the enemy really well.
We played them six times this season, we beat them 8-2 the last time we played them in the Joe.
It’s the Detroit Red Wings.
The defending Stanley Cup Champs. What a way to enter our first playoff run!
The Jackets ended their season on a sour note, but our focus is now on the Wings and what we can do to beat them.
The Red Wings are one of the best hockey clubs in the NHL, they have built quite the franchise, and are a solid team.
I can’t think of a better situation to go into. The travel is perfect, no time change, short plane ride, and it couldn’t get much better.
It looks like Murray is going to be out for a while, Picard has been called up to take his place.
I can’t begin to tell you how proud I am of this hockey club.
So Jackets fans - there are tickets available to game 1 and game 2 in Detroit. Invade the Joe. Wear your BLUE, and cheer on your team as the puck drops on their first ever playoff game.
Me? I’ll be there for game 2.

I can’t remember… does the NHL unlock the center ice package during the playoffs for the games not on national TV? Or do you still have to be a subscriber?

You have to subscribe. I think they might have a discount since it only really affects the first round of the playoffs. You can also get Gamecenter online for $20 a day (but I think that’s a rip off).
And if you’re feeling a little, um, unscrupulous…there are ways to get live streams on your computer.

Bethany, I’ll tell you what I tell the Predaturd fans….. the regular season doesn’t mean squat once the real season begins…. You guys have an exciting young team, with an outstanding goalie, along with one of the more dynamic scorers in hockey , or course im speaking of Nash… But these are the playoffs, and the regular season series and all the wins dont matter if you don’t produce starting Thursday…. BOTH teams have their hands full in many respects, this could go 7 games…

I have never wanted to see BJs succeed in my entire life.

Yzerman19 - I am right there with you. I think this will be a great series to watch, I’m especially excited for game one to see how the CBJ come out.

DetCapC19 - It’s in my latest post, Huselius is in for game one, Modin is likely, and Brassard may be back as soon as game 3.

I have always been a fan of BJs. Now, at least for one playoff series, I am also a fan of your hockey team. Let’s hope that 8-2 thrashing was a sign of things to come!
