If that was a playoff preview...count me in.
What a game! It wasn’t even the score, it was the physical play and the way the Jackets took control of the game.
With the way the Blue Jackets came out in Florida, I worried if that would be prepared, but they were.

Hitchcock gets #500

A HUGE congrats to Coach Ken Hitchcock who earned his 500th win as an NHL Coach. He’s the best thing that has ever happened to the Columbus Blue Jackets, and one of the best in the league. Thank you Hitch for giving the Jackets an identity.

Moving right along

The Blue Jackets beat the St. Louis Blues last night to move up to sixth in the Western Conference. They played the game for 40 minutes and then the final period, as Hitch said, “Played the score.” They almost gave the Blues a point, but were able to pull it out, thanks to Steve Mason.
The third period was pathetic, we sat back and let the Blues score two goals to make it a one goal game. It was unacceptable, and one of the periods that make Hitchcock “hate coaching.”

Hitchionary 2.0?

If you remember, Michael Arace wrote a “Hitchionary” earlier in the season. Bill Davidge wrote another one with quotes that Hitch has said since the puck has dropped. It’s a pretty good read, so you should probably check it out.

The ‘Hitchionary’

Michael Arace put out one of the funniest (to me at least) articles that I have seen in quite some time.
He took words that Ken Hitchcock uses ALL the time, and turned them into a bit of a dictionary to get us ready for hockey season, the result....Hitchionary.
Below are some of the words included, but I urge you to read it all.
