TSN observes that Alex Burrows stands out these days:
The super-pest. The player everyone wants to have on their team, and the player nobody wants to face.
Who is the NHL’s biggest “Pain in the Glass” these days? It just might be Alex Burrows of the Vancouver Canucks.
TSN goes to break down the chaos Burrows created in the Tampa game last night: 2 assists and 9 penalty minutes in just 14 minutes of work.
The article also takes a look at all the other troublemakers on their poll question. With that list, I didn’t even come close to voting for Burrows.

Oh Come on!
Where is Jarkko Ruutu?
That Shmarmy grin, he’s dirty play - he’s got it all.

I found it highly amusing to see a team of superstars win every fight against a team of grinders last night. I got an especially good guffaw out of Burrows taking out Vinny’s leg while getting the bejesus pounded out of him.
As far as that poll goes I think Tootoo and Colby Armstrong deserve a spot over a few of those names.

During the first intermission of the Rangers-Devils game tonight, MSG interviewed Avery and mentioned this article. Avery continued his tirade against Canada (which I think started after that whole Toronto-pregame-scuffle thing) by saying something along the lines of, it’s no surprise that’s the hot topic in Canada, since hockey is all they can talk about, never mind that there’s starving children in Africa. It was funny but kind of bizarre, actually.

Yep, this is what it’s come too. Gone are the days of the “run and gun” Canucks.
Let’s tune in and watch Alex Burrows be a pest. Ooh that entertaining…. Now let’s watch Luongo make save after save (when he’s on his game) and still watch Vancouver struggle to win, tie, or even lose.
Now let’s rewind to last years playoffs and watch Vancouver fold their tent against Anaheim. At least Luongo didn’t give up then, but the rest of the team. Shame shame shame.
Oh well I guess were re-building, but with Luongo we may still make the palyoffs. Ironical really.
