updated: two more masks added below by request
This week, the NHL packaged a collection of goalie mask photos with blurbs behind a mask belonging to at least one goalie on every team.
Below are the two featured masks from Vancouver. Roberto Luongo’s is obviously familiar to most Canucks fans, but I’d never noticed the details of Curtis Sanford’s mask before. So I put those up, plus Peter Budaj’s of Colorado, as well, for the “inside joke"…

I believe that Budaj is also known as “Flanders” because he’s very, very religious. Seriously.

I had noticed Budaj’s Ned Falnders before and wondered the significance. Can you post a link to the entire article?

There was no article made available publicly, it was just a resource provided on the nhl’s media site, and those links aren’t usually publicly accessible.
But I would hope that the NHL.com website will have them all up there soon.
Meanwhile, I’d be happy to post some others as I have time.
Any requests?

The Sandman...huh.
When I first sae Sanford’s mask I thought maybe it was a really pissed of Gandalf the Grey with his teeth punched out!

Zanstorm -- Ha! Well, the missing teeth fits the hockey theme, that’s for sure.
Bethany -- Your wish is my command - they’re added!

Haha! Glad to be of service. Next time I should ask if you’d like it super-sized, and served with fries.

Haha thanks Alanah...if it’s not asking too much will you put up Brodeur and I won’t ask for anymore...I promise...
Posted by Bethany on 12/06/07 at 06:03 PM ET
No problem. But oddly, they didn’t include Brodeur’s mask in that little collection with the quotes on it, like the ones above. However, they did have two photos of his mask in a related gallery, so I put them on our server.
You can grab them here and here.

Is Hasek’s mask available with his comments on it?
That would be great; thanks in advance.
