Canucks-Liveblogging For Cash

Canucks and Coyotes touchdown at 7pm PT for what will probably be the Biggest Game of the Year… if not the decade. In any sport. Ever. (On the other hand… yeah, there’s always a chance it could be a snoozer.)
Anyway, we’ll be liveblogging it either way—myself and a special special guest. A true superstar of Canucks fandom. A celebrity of such status I’m a bit nervous about even mentioning his name…
So we’ll see you at 7pm.
P.S. Don’t worry about the cash. Free admittance for anyone with a Gretzky joke.
P.P.S. There are no celebrities. (I lie a lot.) But there is a guest!
Thanks to the Yankee Canuck for joining in—and anyone else who wants to chip in, please do!
Drunken liveblogging to commence shortly.

Oh, there WILL be booze involved, fear not!
But I’ll still take the cash…

Well thank goodness. I wouldn’t want to be the only lush around here.
Come to think of it, I wouldn’t mind too much. Here’s to Wellwood! *opens beer*

Please, you could never be the only lush in a group of Canucks fans. Whether there’s just 5 of us or 5,000… it’s a solid bet that 50% of the crowd will be knee-deep in their own river of beer.
Glad to have you around, Temujin. Someone needs to help me counter Mike’s frequent unprovoked attacks on the sacred entity that is Wellwood… the Canucks leading scorer!

*sigh* No Wings games at all this week...having withdrawls. Nyucks and Yotes? Why not.

Haha! Well, you’re more than welcome. Besides, someone will need to defend the Wings if I drink too much and start ranting…

That was kinda neat to see the commentary emerge while the game was on...would have been fun to participate, but it would be dysfunctional with too many people.

It’s a fair point, Jeremy, and I was thinking the same thing. But if there were a lot more people making comments, I would’ve made a greater (errrrr… more ‘effective’?) effort to break apart the commentary in order to provide moderators a chance to respond.
Doing that would’ve provided its own limitations for me personally, maybe. But it would’ve made the whole CoverItLive thing go a bit more smoothly, as well.
But as a first time experiment, I have to admit I’m really happy with it. I thought it went great and I had a lot of fun.
