Canucks Stuff: Out with the old, in with the new

imageThe Vancouver Canucks hockey blog goodness previously achieved by going to both the Yankee Canuck and Waiting for Stanley has now been combined into one force at SB Nation:  Nucks Misconduct. I’m a big fan of both of their original blogs, and the combined effort will be brilliant, I have no doubts.

I’m digging the site’s logo, too. I just can’t decide if they’re giving homage to 1950s U.S.S.R. socialist unity, or to George Orwell. Either way, I approve. smile

On other matters of a Canuckish nature, the team now has—as everyone knows by now—a glorious one-game winning streak going on.  The playoffs are practically a sure-thing. (Okay, maybe not.) For a more reasonable view of the team’s status quo, you can check out the latest episode of The Crazy Canucks.

Their logo kinda reminds me of Barack Obama’s campaign logo during the US election.

That being said, it is entirely appropriate to think of Mike as Barack and Sean and Michelle.

*snicker*

Oh geez, you’re totally right. It’s a lot like that Obama art!

But I don’t think we want to insult the American first family by finding comparisons that go any further than the logo. wink

Thanks Alanah!

We thought about the tagline “Finally, fisting has a home” but decided against it.

(I can’t take credit for that either. I’ll protect the innocent parties!)

Yeah, we are a lawsuit waiting to happen! haha. Should be fun.
The SBN creative made the logo and we liked it.
I think it looks Commie, as does my Russian wife. She doesn’t like that. I do.

Cool logo…Is it a 3 armed/fisted mutant?...If it is, can Gillis sign them before the deadline!
