Ohlund Out, Bourdon in & Stupid Canucks Promos

From the Vancouver Sun:
The NHL’s Vancouver Canucks, down another defenceman with a knee injury to veteran Mattias Ohlund, have called up blueliner Luc Bourdon from the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League.
Ohlund was hurt during Tuesday’s 2-1 loss to the host Colorado Avalanche. He went for an MRI on the knee today, and results may be available tomorrow.
Aside from that fine news, I thought I’d throw in a screenshot of a Canucks contest being run lately.
Wanna win a prize? Tell the Canucks how many goals the team will score in the first period of any game.

Geezus, is there any smart answer to this besides “ZERO”?
Exciting stuff.
I’ve got a better promotion idea. Tell the Canucks how much longer it will be before Vigneault completely cracks up and tries out this new line combination:
I’m expecting it to happen anytime, myself.
Update 6:45pm PT: Speaking of Alain Vigneault, he added his own wisdom to the Canucks dialogue today with a smartassed little quip:
“I hear jumping off the bandwagon might become an Olympic sport.”
Wow. Two years later, he finally noticed he works out of Vancouver.
In other news, Brendan Morrison practiced with teammates today, and we can reasonably expect him back by next week at latest.

Well, Trini… aren’t you a bastion of optimism on a dark day.
(But alas, point taken. Ugh.)

How about Naslund in the press box?
Nothing else seems to result in him waking up for a sustained period of time.

Oy. Naslund, yes. But remember that last groin pull about 2 weeks ago? Methinks we’re back in silent “lower body injury” mode with Nazzy info. The thing is, when he’s skating, he’s great; when he’s not, he bites.
I added an update about Morrison, though. Hopefully his upcoming return will add a boost.
*knock on wood*

Naslund is not above sitting in the press box. It’s used on lesser likes like Cowan. Why not nazzy?
What’s it going to do, hurt he offence?????????????????????????????

They need to call up McIntyre...he’d work out better on that line. He’s scored more goals that Luongo this season...and he handles the puck WAY better than Louie.

Dire update on Ohlund’s condition here.
I hate hockey. Have I ever mentioned that?

Sheesh, I’m having flashbacks of the year we lost 6 straight and missed the playoffs.
