Steven Stamkos. Supermodel.

imageHow does an 18 year old who’s never played a NHL game in his life end up as the official spokesman for a pricey Swiss watch company?

Well, being the #1 draft pick has its perks, and being thought of as the “next Sidney Crosby”  doesn’t hurt, either.

Which brings me to the video.

Stamkos spent some time recently doing his best impression of a supermodel for the Swiss Tissot company (via Amazon) where he was also interviewed by ET Canada

Here’s the video footage of that interview and his photoshoot… a face soon to be on a highway billboard near you.

Says Stamkos, “I could get used to everyone making me look pretty good on camera.”

ah god. Seeing both in the OHL, Tavares > Stamkos in my opinion (and will be at the nhl level), so prepare to go through all this next year (esp. if a Canadian team *leafs* draft him). Ugh. I think Stamkos might even crash and burn, not Patrik Stefan or Daigle calibre falls, but time will tell..

Side note: God, what happened to Rick Campanelli “Rick the Temp”? That man tan is outrageous. This has destroyed my fond memories of much music viewing, 1997-2002. Wait, those memories arent fond grin

Steve Stamkos is no Sidney Crosby… i think he’ll be star, no doubt, but the “next Sidney Crosby”, he is not… the next patrick kane is more realistic

Rick the temp is on entertainment canada, or one of those type shows… he’s arguably more of a weenie now than then, and if you thought much was not enjoyable then, i suggest you avoid it at all costs now
