If you want more fun with Isbister graphs, there’s this one. As you can tell, what he lacks in scoring he makes up in “heart”. Tell me, does that improve the already crappy powerplay? Me thinks not

Chief Canuck— I tend to agree, though I know so little about him, I really can’t guess what he brings to the team. A friend told me the other day that Isbister’s a great guy and hard working, but that he plays to “not get hurt.”
But as always, I’m always the optimist… and hell, he’s a left winger… the Canucks can never get enough of those! ![]()
Mike— Okay, I started out liking that write-up on Isbister under the graph you linked… but then things sort of fell apart for poor Brad:
“Brad Isbister pretty much is a what you see is what you get kinda guy. The guy works his tail off out there, is willing to drive the net, dig it out in the corners, skate back hard to cover up on plays, and brings size and grit to the lineup.”
But then things start to fall apart…
”...he does a few things very very well, most of the things rather well, but the most important things, very poorly. Lets face it, the guy cant shoot, cant pass, cant score, cant stickhandle well, and has poor offensive instincts out there.”
Good God. And so now my optimism is shaken.

This is also highly entertaining, along the same lines:

Defintly will need one more top 6 guy how he comes is the question. Nonis has said he will go the trade route not any UFA that’s not a bargain; so far he has gone by his word for i believe his entire career here in Vancouver (hell this guy even admitted to making a mistake “Chouinard”). I honestly believe if we sign anyone else in out of the UFA market it will be Anson Carter.
If its a trade that happens no one can really specualte, but their has been rumors most discredited floating around us and SJ or us and NJ. Nonis will pull the trigger if it betters our team.
It also won’t be surprising to me if Nonis doesnt push a move for a couple weeks now; although you just never know.

Nick - That site is quite fun, though I prefer the Red Wings pages myself. ![]()
Tyler - Anson Carter?? That hadn’t occurred to me. I didn’t even realize he was a UFA till you mentioned it.
Jibblescribbits - I can’t take any credit. But I know how much you Avs fans like it when I trash my own team. I gotta quit giving you material to work with…

Nice Graph..
The only good thing about this signing is there was no indication from Tamby or Nonis that they were trying pawn Isbister off as a saviour for 1st or 2nd line scoring.
He’s a 3rd line player. But with his right handed shot, could fill in for short stints with the Sedins. .. Short stints ONLY!!!
