So sayeth TSN. And so, in the soon-to-be immortal words of Captain Ron at HF Boards: “Well, that experiment did not last too long.”
Indeed. Perhaps we should all take a moment of silence to ponder the importance of off-season conditioning, where everything started to go wrong for the young Kyle Wellwood. Alas.

Poor Wellwood??! That picture shows him with a hot chick and he got a cool million dollars to remain out of shape. If that’s poor, then my lot in life is hella screwed.

Not that NHL.com’s current stats were all that helpful in ranking Vancouver’s offence, but scoring 4 goals per game (I calculate that to be 4th in the League, behind the Wild, Caps, and Blues) should prove that Wellwood (who has played only the one game, going -1 with no points) is of little use. And yes, that coaching comment on his conditioning probably did him no favours either.

wellwood does not belong in the nhl. no one that can get pushed off the puck with a feather does. now he can go to winnipeg and get as fat as he likes and play out his career without the pressure of trying to be something he’s not.
if there was a good replacement for pyatt on moose i’d put him on the same bus.
