What’s in a Name?

This headline and story caught my eye today:
Swan turns down Ducks’ contract
Bryce Swan has turned down a contract offer from the Anaheim Ducks and will re-enter the NHL draft.
Anaheim assistant general manager David McNab confirmed that Swan, a second-round pick (38th overall) of the Ducks in 2006, didn’t sign by yesterday’s 6 p.m. deadline. It’s the second-straight year Swan, a Halifax Mooseheads forward, has turned down a Ducks offer, McNab said.
I suppose Swan’s disinterest in Anaheim is probably about something besides the irritation of endless future headlines like “Swan Swims with Ducks” and “Swan Turns Into Duck” and god-only-knows-what-else… But if it were just about the team name, could you really blame the guy?
That would have to be on par with Satan signing with the Devils...
