No, I do not have an answer for that but there are three guys that do - Russ Cohen, John Halligan, and Adam Raider, authors of the new New York Ranger book 100 Ranger Greats: Superstars, Unsung Heroes and Colorful Characters.
If you’re a die-hard Ranger fan, you should absolutely get this book in stores or at Amazon.com and take the time to read it.
What makes this book so interesting as it is filled with terrific Rangers, great pictures (some never before seen photos), tremendous quotes and it really gives you a sense of pride of being a Ranger fan. This should not come as a surprise because Halligan, a former New York Rangers Public Relations Director and NHL Executive, has been able to do that in all of his books about the Blueshirts.
Cohen, Halligan and Raider obviously did a lot of research before putting this book together because it seems like they didn’t miss anyone. Sure, the rankings could always been done differently but they definitely have every Ranger you can think of in the book.
100 Ranger Greats appeals to all Ranger fans as it tells the stories of both “current” generation players and old-timers from Bill Cook, Bryan Hextall, Sr., Chuck Rayner, to Steve Vickers, Vic Hadfield, Camille Henry, Phil Esposito to John Vanbiesbrouck, Adam Graves, Alexei Kovalev, Sergei Nemchinov, Jeff Beukeboom, Mike Gartner, James Patrick and more.
While this book will definitely stir debates among Blueshirt followers, it is simply a book that Ranger fans have to have.

About Goal Line Report
The Goal Line Report will focus on all things Eastern Conference. Do I have a bias towards the Eastern Conference just because I am a New Yorker? No, but it certainly does make things easier! I’ll make my opinions known on Eastern Conference news bits (as often as I can), big games, hot and cold players, trades (I don’t make things up) and anything and everything else related to the Eastern Conference that I think is important for hockey fans to know. I will, in every sense of the word, be the beast of the East while also making sure to drop my thoughts on other hockey news items.
I, Patrick Hoffman, have covered the NHL since 2003 and have worked for a variety of hockey media sources including: Stan Fischler, Spector’s Hockey, TheHockeyNews.com, HockeyBuzz.com, McKeen’s Hockey, Blueshirt Bulletin, XM Home Ice Channel Hockey Blog, HockeyPrimeTime.com, FantasyHockey.com. NY SportsDay, and HokejaVestnesis.com.
