Scratch another candidate off the Avs’ GM search list. David McNab, assistant GM in Anaheim and brother of Avs color guy Peter, has not been approached by the Avs. If he hasn’t been contacted by now, one would presume he won’t be getting the job.

Thank god. Dave McNab has been a huge part of Anaheim’s success this decade—he seemingly has a knack for finding talent outside of the draft (Kunitz, McDonald, Penner, etc.).
Hands off, Avs.
