I would imagine that plenty of you Blueshirt fans out there are complaining that the team has not won a game in pre-season. With their 4-3 loss to the Detroit Red Wings tonight, the New York Rangers are now 0-3.
One negative that one can easily point out is the team’s third period performance, when they allowed four goals, three of them coming in an eight-minute span. Blueshirt netminder Matt Zaba did everything he could stopping 15 of 19 shots but the Wings’ proved to be too much.
On the positive side, the Rangers got solid games from Artem Anisimov, Enver Lisin and Henrik Lundqvist, three players that many Ranger fans hope have successful seasons this year during the regular season.
Tomorrow afternoon, the Rangers will be in Boston to take on the Bruins in their fourth pre-season game. According Matt Kalman at The Bruins Blog to the Bruins are expected to ice the following lineup:
Jamie Arniel, Steve Begin, Johnny Boychuk, Drew Fata, Zach Hamill, Jeff LoVecchio, Milan Lucic, Kirk MacDonald, Derek Morris, Jeff Penner, Tuukka Rask, Michael Ryder, Max Sauve, Marc Savard, Marco Sturm, Mark Stuart, Tim Thomas, Shawn Thornton, Trent Whitfield, Dennis Wideman.
Thomas will start in goal.
It is not yet known which lineup the Rangers will ice tomorrow but once one of the beat writers reports it, I will do my best to link to it tomorrow.

The rangers shouldn’t be proud of almost winning this game…detroit makes a habit of phoning it in in the preseason.
