New York Ranger Sean Avery was arrested and charged with battery on a police office earlier Friday, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
Police responded to noise complaints at Avery’s Hollywood home at about 1 a.m. and arrested him. It wasn’t known what prompted the alleged assault on the officer.
The battery charge is a misdemeanor. Avery’s bail was set at $20,000.

I like how the article mentions he’s a former Red Wing. What relevance does that have? He’s also a former Dallas Star.
Hey Sean: Just because you’re an agitator on the ice doesn’t mean you should be one off the ice as well. Maybe it’s time you hang up the skates and pursue that career in the fashion industry.

Excited for the mugshot. mostly to see if he’s wearing those glasses he had on in the roster shot last year.

He’s a 4th line winger who’s never played beyond the 2nd round.
At least with Owens and Ochocinco, those guys had top-end talent.
