Blueshirts Take on Defending Champs

The New York Rangers need to start establishing some consistency on home ice.
A win tonight against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks would do do the trick as the Blueshirts look to win their second straight game after shutting out the Toronto Maple Leafs at the ACC on Saturday night.
To do, the team will once again need to block a lot of shots, take away the shooting lanes, pick up the man in front and cover the points because if they don’t, the Blackhawks’ offensive and defensive guns will surely make them pay.
The team will also need to get more scoring from guys other than Brandon Dubinsky, Ryan Callahan and Artem Anisimov. As I’ve mentioned many times before, this has been the club’s top line and while it’s great to have them contributing a lot, the team needs more production from its other lines.
Goaltender Henrik Lundqvist will need to be on top of his game tonight as one should expect the Hawks to throw lots of pucks his way at the Garden tonight.
It should be a great game and if the Blueshirts can pull out a win here, it would be a terrific start in what is a very tough month ahead.
