It appears that New York Rangers’ team captain Chris Drury has a good chance of returning to the Blueshirts on Friday night when the team takes on the Toronto Maple Leafs in their home opener.
Larry Brooks at the New York Post reports the following:
It’s beginning to sound as if Chris Drury, sidelined since Sept. 20 with a broken left index finger, will be available for the Rangers’ home opener Friday night against the Maple Leafs.
“Friday is in sight; Friday is in sight,” head coach John Tortorella, hardly given to hyperbole, said at the Coliseum before this afternoon’s match against the Islanders. “We’ll see how it goes the next few days and take it from there.”

Great. That will really make a difference. Their d stinks . They should have kept Seminov and Exelby and sent The young D to the minors for some seasoning. Risival isn’t much better than Redden. Sather refuses to admit that contract was a mistake too.
