Five Burning Blueshirt Questions

From Andrew Gross at The Bergen Record:
1. Can they acquire a scorer? GM Glen Sather would have to work some salary-cap magic to bring in an elite free agent such as Marian Gaborik, Marian Hossa or the Sedin twins, none of whom is likely to have the Rangers first on his list.
2. Can they shed salary? The Rangers have approximately $41 million committed to 10 players for 2009-10. They’d love to move center Scott Gomez or defenseman Wade Redden, but both contracts likely are untradable.
My answer to the first question is that they better be able to acquire a scorer because that hurt the team all season long. As for moving Scott Gomez and Wade Redden, I would not have any objections. How about you folks?
