From Larry Brooks at The New York Post:
But even if tonight’s match is played, Marian Gaborik is not expected to be in the lineup after sustaining a deep laceration in his right thigh that required stitches following a practice mishap with Henrik Lundqvist in which the winger was sliced by the goaltender’s skate.
Indeed, Gaborik, fourth in the NHL with 35 goals, is questionable for the Blueshirts’ final three games before the Olympic break—tonight, Friday, and back home on Sunday afternoon against the Lightning.
Gaborik is on Slovakia’s Olympic roster. Team Slovakia’s first game is next Wednesday against Jaromir Jagr and the Czech Republic.
